2. Hardware Description

2.1 Mechanical Dimension

Standard 19 "3U Rack-mounted housing, dimensions (W x D x H): 213mm× 128.8mm×82.5mm.

2.2 Interface Description

2.2.1 Power Connector

The front panel of the module is designed with a power connector to receive the 110VDC (43-160VDC) power input provided by the vehicle.

The interface is equipped a 3P PHOENIX connector, designation: 3-channel Phoenix connector with flange, model: FKC 2.5/3-STF-5.08 BD: 1-3-1719558, the device comes with a matching socket. The interface is defined as follows:

2.2.2 Debugging port

The front panel of the device comes with a 1 console debugging port. The interface is in the form of an RJ45 interface (with dust plug).

The cable supplied with the product is connected to the PC for device program updates and related settings.

2.2.3 Communication Interfaces

Interface G1-G4:

For Gigabit Ethernet ports, G1 and G2 support a set of ring networks; G3 and G4 support another set of rings; G1 and G2 support BYPASS;

G3 and G4 support BYPASS. (Or G1/G3 and G2/G4 can be configured to support link aggregation).

The schematic diagram is shown in the figure above, and the specific silk screen is subject to the actual project, and this description is only used for correspondence relationship.

M12   A-Coded 8-pin male connector (with dust plug) , which terminal   is with the hole type and the wiring terminal is with needle. Plug Name: 8 Pin Male M12 Connector, The pin distribution and defintion is as follows:

Note: The shielding layer of the network cable can be connected to the ground through the M12 metal connector

◆ Interface E1-E12

Interfaces E1-E12 are 100 MBPS Ethernet ports, of which 5-12 support POE power supply, and single POE supports AF/AT standard.

POE power supply complies with: IEEE 802.3at, compatible with IEEE802.3af

POE Output Voltage: Nominal: 48VDC, Range: 44~57VDC

POE power supply protection: support overload protection, short circuit protection, open circuit protection

POE port protection: GB/T 17626 standard level 3 or above

M12 type D-Coded 4-Pin male connector (with built-in dust plug), and which terminal is hole-type, and the wiring terminal is with needle-type.

Plug name: 4 pin male M12 connector, which comes with a matching socket, and the pin of the M12 port distribution and interface defintion as follows:

2.3 Dual-module mechanical structure

Structural size: standard 19-inch 3U rack-mount chassis, see the figure below for details

Installation: Standard rack-mounted equipment installation.

Panel: Unified provision for customers and chassis (standard 19-inch, you can refer to the existing project design).

The depth of the chassis in the figure below can be designed according to the product, and the heat dissipation would be ensured

The switch module has 16 network ports, all of which are drawn from the front panel, including 12 x 10/100Mbps (8 pcs POE power supply) and 4 x 10/100/1000Mbps electrical ports;

G1 and G2 are a set of bypass, and G3 and G4 are a set of bypass to prevent communication interruption caused by power supply failure;

VLAN simplifies network planning by setting up a virtual LAN, and supports three modes: access, trunk, and hybird.

Port aggregation can increase network bandwidth, enhance the reliability of network connection, whether aggregation can be enabled configuration or not, and aggregation port failure has automatic protection mechanism, and load balancing mode can be configured.

Bandwidth management can reasonably allocate network bandwidth and prevent unpredictable network status;

It can realize port isolation between the same VLAN, which can save VLAN resources;

IGMP snooping, querying and static multicast can be used to filter multicast traffic to conserve network bandwidth, and have a dynamic multicast group member protection mechanism;

Network diagnosis and troubleshooting can be carried out through Ping, Traceroute, and port loopback;

Support loop detection function, and the master node supports dynamic election, then prevent misoperation from causing network loops and further leading to the network strom

Support Layer 3 forwarding quickly, NAT switching bandwidth 30M;

Support rstp and MSTP etc. standard ring network protocols;
